And just for kicks, here is an bonus book I have loved from the first moment I read it. It's thin, but size is no match for power.

A Long Walk to Water, by Linda Sue Park

True stories are often the best kind of stories. Combining two separate narrators and real experiences, this story is one-of-a-kind, bringing you the Sudanese desert and search for water, and the battle that rages on.
